If you’re wondering whether online therapy can really help with something as personal as grief, anxiety, or pet loss, you’re not alone. It’s a question I get often, and the short answer is yes. Virtual sessions can be just as effective as in-person ones. In fact, many of my clients say they feel even more relaxed and open when they’re in their own space.
I offer in person and online hypnotherapy sessions and teletherapy for grief, anxiety, trauma, and pet loss, serving clients across Alberta and beyond. Whether you’re looking for an online therapist in Calgary or simply someone you can talk to without having to leave the house, you’re in the right place.
What My Virtual Sessions Look Like
We always begin with a free 30-minute consultation. This is a chance to talk about what you’re going through and what kind of support you’re looking for. I’ll ask questions, we’ll explore some goals together, and I’ll explain how hypnotherapy or other tools might help. From there, we come up with a custom plan that’s just for you. No scripts, no pressure, just a safe and supportive starting point.
When we do begin sessions, they happen online through Zoom or another secure video platform. You’ll need a decent internet connection, a set of headphones or earbuds, and a private space where you won’t be interrupted.
It helps if you have a spot where you can really settle in. A place where your head can rest comfortably, like a bed with pillows behind you, a recliner, or a cozy armchair with a blanket. Your comfort matters.
A lot of people ask me, “What if something happens during the session? What if I need to get up?” The truth is, you are never out of control. Hypnosis is not sleep. You are in a relaxed and focused state, but you are fully aware and always in charge. If something comes up, you can easily open your eyes, move, or speak. You are safe the entire time.
Why People Love Working Online
There are so many benefits to virtual therapy. Here are just a few:
- You can stay in your own space, where you already feel safe
- There’s no rushing through traffic or trying to find parking
- You can curl up with a blanket or keep your pet nearby if that brings you comfort
- Many people actually go deeper in their sessions when they’re at home
- It fits into your life, even on hard days or during tough seasons
Online therapy also makes it possible for us to work together no matter where in Alberta or Canada you live.

While I work with people from all walks of life, I specialize in:
